We’re specialists for inexpensive used cars in the valley. We have vehicle anywhere from $2,500 to $7,000. Most of the inexpensive stuff we have is around $3,000 is usually domestic cars. A lot of people frown on domestic cars, because Japanese have the reputation of being so economical, and reliable. This is the bottom line.
a 1996 Honda Accord with 160k on it will be around the same price as a 2002 Ford Escort with 90k. If you want something newer with less miles, go with the 2002 Ford Escort. At least with domestic cars the parts aren’t that expensive, and they are still pretty easy to fix like Japanese Cars. If you’re really worried about expensive repairs stay away from European cars like Range Rover, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc.
Nissan’s are good Japanese cars, but many people prefer Honda’s. and Toyota’s. One thing you got to watch out for with Nissan’s is the catalytic converter. The catalytic converter on a Nissan is attached to the exhaust manifold, and is a dealer only item. They generally cost around $500 so it ends up being an expensive repair with parts, and labor. That’s why I always scan a Nissan before I buy it to make sure there isn’t any catalytic code. The code will generally read catalyst efficiency below threshold so make sure to watch out for that.
Right now we have a 2001 Honda Accord with 79K that we would strongly recommend to anybody looking for a used car. Check out the picture, and description here.
